JOLPEN is my reinterpretation of the Ikea JOLPEN bench and part of my ongoing exploration of light structures and our perception of stability. Its profile emerged from the process constraints of robotic rod bending, while the assembly was designed for easy construction and disassembly. Custom 3D-printed connectors join the different elements of the bench, emphasizing adaptability and a DIY methodology for a nomadic lifestyle.
